OUR STORY
Set against the opulent yet oppressive backdrop of 1960s-70s Nepal, Durbar: The Palace unravels the dark underbelly of royal durbars, where naive women are lured and exploited under the guise of tradition. Arya, a young woman deceived and sold into this world, refuses to become another victim. As she navigates the treacherous corridors of power, she uncovers the horrifying truth—King’s own web of manipulation fuels the cycle of abuse.
Determined to reclaim her freedom and seek justice, Arya defies the system that sought to break her. With each passing day, her resolve strengthens, culminating in a brutal act of vengeance—killing the very man who dragged her into this nightmare. But with the King’s eyes everywhere, will her quest for justice lead to liberation, or is she merely trading one prison for another?
